What is this?

The competitive scene surrounding Magic: the Gathering has gone through a very tumultuous time in the last several years, from modifications in the road to professional play, to Magic Arena, to the complete digital-first overhaul of Magic's now-Esports scene, to the drastic effects of Covid to the state of physical events, to now. During these periods, Magic's Esports structure and systems have made several drastic shifts, changing long-held terminologies and structures, and making it sometimes-difficult to see the overall structure.

The goal of this website is to make it as easy as possible to connect the dots between new leagues, tournaments, systems, and terms. Almost all technical elements of the Esports structure -- from leagues to tournaments to point structures -- should have their own page or section dedicated to them, and be accessible from other pages, wherever they are mentioned or referenced. Primary sources should also be available for all information, either at the bottom of each page, or in Reference / Resources.
